Houston, Texas + planet Earth

Karina Filipovich is a queer, first generation Latina woman daylighting as a civil engineer while continuing to hone her artistic craft and vision. Across photography, collage, painting, welding and drawing from life, her creative work is a necessity to navigate the absurdity of constructs such as "patriarchy" and "having a real job" as a woman that sees a life beyond what is prescribed by society.
